Tyler Copeland, B.S., is a current post-graduate student in the Applied Sociology M.A. program at the University of Central Florida. Passionate in media creation and environmental science, Tyler seeks to bring these two fields together to promote environmental understanding through the lens of his camera.
Tyler has garnered a variety of experiences to excel his craft. Earning a certificate in GIS along side his Environmental Studies degree, he has gained significant knowledge of the GIS ecosystem. Taking this to his work, he currently is a proud team member for CitizenScienceGIS acting as the project lead for the Drone Mapping Utilities project with Orange County. Tyler is a certified Part 107 drone pilot.
Outside of GIS, Tyler interned for Universal Orlando working under the Director of Photography. This year-long internship provided him significant experience working in a professional production environment with thorough knowledge of industry-standard photo and video equipment.
